Sandvik 253 MA is an austenitic chromium-nickel steel alloyed with nitrogen and rare earth metals. The grade is characterized by:
High creep strength
Very good resistance to isothermal and, particularly, cyclic oxidation
Good structural stability at high temperatures
Good weldability
