EN 10088-1 Grade X3CrNiMoN27-5-2 solution annealed (+AT) introduction

Material X3CrNiMoN27-5-2 is comparable to X 4 CrNiMoN 27 5 2 acc. to SEW400 : 1991. The ferritic austenitic steel shows low stress corrosion sensitivity. It has better general corrosion resistance than 1.4362 and is better machinable than austenite. The steel is characterized by high wear resistance and good running properties. It is suitable for mirror finishing. Therefore it is particularly suitable for shafts in acid pumps and for seawater loaded machine parts. Further application in acetic acid, photo, cellulose and dyeing industry. The material shows resistance to intercrystalline corrosion also in welded condition. Application temperature -60 to 350 °C (for the comparable DIN-material).
