EN 10326 Grade S550GD cold rolled
EN 10326 Grade S550GD cold rolled introduction
The structural steel (non-alloy high-grade steel) S550GD is deliverable with following hot-dip coatings:
S550GD+Z (coating Zn), S550GD+ZF (coating Zn-Fe), S550GD+ZA (coating Zn-Al), S550GD+AZ (coating Al-Zn).
The coating mass for Z amounts to 100, 140, 200, (225), 275, 350*, (450)* and (600)* g/m², for ZF to 100 and 140** g/m², for ZA to 95, 130, 185, 200, 255 and 300* g/m², for AZ it amounts to 100, 150 and 185 g/m².
The parenthesis values are deliverable after arrangement
the values are in each case both side minimum values (three-faced specimen). The * marked values are not deliverable for the surface types B and C and the ** marked values are not deliverable for the surface type C (see also DIN EN 10326).
The advantages in opposite to the hot-dip galvanising are:
- higher corrosion resistance
- excellent forming behaviour
- low crack susceptibility of the coating
The material has a min. yield point of 550 N/mm² and is used for construction parts with high strength and high corrosion resistance. The coated steel is weldable with the usual methods. Furthermore are given the adhesive suitability and the coatability with organic materials, in each case after a previous suitable surface treatment.
Application:
household appliances industry, construction industry, furniture industry, electrical engineering, automotive engineering
Equivalent material: ASTM HSLASA340, ASTM HSLASA410, ASTM HSLASA480, ASTM HSLASB340, ASTM HSLASB410, ASTM HSLASB480, ASTM HSLASB550, ASTM SS230, ASTM SS250, ASTM SS255, ASTM SS275, ASTM SS340 Class 1, ASTM SS340 Class 2+3, ASTM HTS, ASTM SS345A+B, ASTM SS550, DIN 1.0531, DIN FeE550G, DIN St50, DIN S550GD, AFNOR S550GD, BS S550GD, JIS SGMC570, JIS SGC570, JIS SZAC570, JIS SZAH540, JIS SGLC570, JIS SGLH540, EN 1.0531, ISO 550, GB/T S550GD, ASTM SS Grade 550
