The cold-upsettable steel 15 CrNi 6 is suitable for the manufacture of screws and nuts (soft-annealed condition with pre- and/or post treatment) used in automobile, motor and equipment construction and in general engineering. The steel finds additional use, amongst other things, for drive sprockets, gudgeon pins, gear shafts (for example in case-hardened condition).
