DIN 1681 Grade GS-38 heat treated introduction

GS-38, for castings without special stress: application in the mechanical engineering, in the manufacturing of vehicles and materials handling equipment, e.g. hubs, bushes, lids, casings. For castings, for static or dynamic stress with good welding properties, e.g. welded hubs, bearing bodies, mount-arm assemblies, bearing end plates. With higher static or dynamic stress for spoke wheel centres, brake block shoes, roller-bearing type axle box casings. Application for temperatures between -10 and +300 °C.
