DIN 1654-5 Grade X5CrNi18-12 quenched and turned
DIN 1654-5 Grade X5CrNi18-12 quenched and turned introduction
Because of its higher Ni content compared standard type to X 5CrNi 18 10, steel X 5 CrNi 18 12 possesses a higher austenitic stability. This decreaes the cold strain hardening. The forming properties for cold heading and extrusion pressing are good even at high forming rates. However, one must be aware of the increased cold strain hardening compared to carbon steels. It is used for stainless steel screws, nuts and cold-extruded parts. It is used for corrosive damage from water, atmosphere and oxidizing acids of higher concentration and higher temperatrues in the chemical industry.
Equivalent material: AFNOR Z4CN18-12, BS 305S19, GOST 06Ch18N11, ISO D23, UNI X8CrNi18-10, JIS SUS305, UNE F.3513-X8CrNi18-12, ASTM 305, DIN X4CrNi18-12, DIN 1.4303, AFNOR Z1CN18-12, AFNOR Z5CN18-11FF, BS 305S17, AISI 305, AISI 308, SAE 305, SAE 308, JIS SUS305J1, JIS SUSY308, EN X4CrNi18-12, EN 1.4303, GOST 06X18H11, GB 1Cr18Ni12, ASTM ER308, UNS S30500, UNS S30880
