DIN 1652-3 Grade 20MnCrS5 cold-drawn or peeled and treated to ferrite-pearlite structure

DIN 1652-3 Grade 20MnCrS5 cold-drawn or peeled and treated to ferrite-pearlite structure introduction

The steel 20 MnCrS 5 in opposite to 20 MnCr 5 is used for larger parts with higher core strength and better machinability in the vehicle and mechanical engineering (e.g. gearboxes, joint parts, gears, bolts).
The lowest application amounts to -25 °C, the best application up to 80 mm nominal size.

Equivalent material: ISO 20MnCrS5, DIN 1.7149, DIN 16MnCr5E, AFNOR 20MC5, UNI 20MnCr5, AISI 5120, AISI 4820, SAE 5120, SAE 4820, JIS SMnC420H, EN 20MnCrS5, EN 16MnCr5E, EN 1.7149, UNS G48200
