DIN 1652-3 Grade 20MnCr5 cold drawn introduction

The steel 20 MnCr 5 in opposite to 16 MnCr 5 is used for larger parts with higher core strength and advantageous toughness properties in the vehicle and mechanical engineering (e.g. gears, shafts, steering parts).
The lowest application amounts to -25 °C, the best application up to 50 mm nominal size.
Der Stahl 20 MnCr 5 ist gegenüber dem 16 MnCr 5 geeignet für Teile größerer Abmessungen im Fahrzeug- und Maschinenbau bei höherer Kernfestigkeit und günstigen Zähigkeitseigenschaften (Getriebe, Gelenkteile, Zahnräder, Bolzen). Die niedrigste Einsatztemperatur liegt bei -25 grd C, der günstigste Einsatzbereich bis 80 mm Nennmaß.
