EN 10208-2 Grade L555MB thermomechanically rolled introduction

Steel L555MB is produced as welded pipe for flammable media in condition thermomechanically rolled. Its yield stress is between 555 and 675 N/mm². The steel is weldable, its carbon equivalent CEV is subject to arrangement. To the welding seam (welding methods SAW, COW) applies a mandrel-diameter for the bending test of 6x nominal thickness of the pipe.
Pipes are available with interior and exterior coating.
Main fields of application are long-distance pipelines for flammable liquids (e.g. crude oil and natural gas products) as well as for compressed and liquefied flammable gases. Pipes acc. to DIN EN 10208-2 : 1996-08 also fulfil the conditions decisive for the consumption acc. to standards 5L, 5LX and 5LS of the American Petroleum Institute (API). When using these pipes has to be considered the Technical rule for flammable liquids (Technische Regel für brennbare FlüssigkeitenTRbF 301).

Equivalent material: DIN L550MB, DIN PSX80, ISO X80ME, ISO L555ME, DIN 1.8978, DIN L555MB, DIN StE 550.7 TM, DIN L555ME, DIN X80ME, EN 1.8978
