EN 10090 Grade X45CrSi9-3 quenched and tempered (+QT)
EN 10090 Grade X45CrSi9-3 quenched and tempered (+QT) introduction
X45CrSi9-3 is a martensitic Cr-Si-alloyed valve steel. The steel shows excellent nitriding and surface hardenability, it is suitable for upsetting. Moderate resistance in exhaust condensate. This applies also to lead compounds at increased temperatures. Tempering resistance at continuous operation up to approx. 700 deg.
Use: inlet valves, shanks, valves
