DIN 17212 Grade Cf70 quenched and tempered (+QT)

DIN 17212 Grade Cf70 quenched and tempered (+QT) introduction

The in the quenched and tempered condition flame and induction hardenable unalloyed special steel has a, compared to the common quenched and tempered steel, constricted range of the C content and a lower maximum value of the P content.
The steel is suitable for flash welding, if prooved conditions will be kept.
For better machining the steel can be soft annealed. In this soft annealed and also in the normalised condition the material is unrestrained cold shearable.
A maximum value for nonmetallic inclusions by arrangement.
Delivery forms:
- semi-finished product, rolled or forged
- steel bars, hot-rolled or hot forged
- wire, hot-rolled
- sheet, strip and wide flats, hot-rolled
- tubes, coils, seamless
- open die and drop forgings
Application:
car industry, engine construction, mechanical engineering
