DIN 17182 Grade G13MnNi6-4 quenched and tempered (+QT)
DIN 17182 Grade G13MnNi6-4 quenched and tempered (+QT) introduction
In comparison to the unalloyed cast steel grades according to DIN 1681, the materials of this group show distinctly higher values of the notch impact energy. As a result of their low carbon content (0.23 per cent maximum), they are well suitable for welding. The material GS-13 MnNi 6 4, which was developed especially for the offshore-application, ensures problem-free weldability for greater wall thicknesses, too, and it distinguishes itself by a high endurance limit, i.e. fatigue strength.
Equivalent material: DIN 1.6221, EN G13MnNi6-4, EN 1.6221
